Sandbox Slugger

Challenge:

Sandbox Sluggers are The Sandbox Agency’s most valuable players who “swing for the fences” and go beyond expectations. The agency needed a logo for an award recognizing their achievements.

Solution:

I designed a logo inspired by vintage baseball graphics, which was screen printed on glossy black bats and presented to recipients. I also designed a series of baseball-inspired announcement posters.

Inspired by vintage baseball

The look of the logo was inspired by vintage baseball graphics, with cheerful, cursive letters inside a diamond.

The award

The logo was screen printed on black bats and presented to Sluggers in each Sandbox office.

Announcement posters

To build excitement, we created a series of recognition posters reminiscent of baseball cards. Old-timey decorative typography was paired with a modern sans-serif to create messages that bolstered team spirit.
